I had a pretty decent stay at Intercontinental Adelaide, with a few ups and downs. The staff were super friendly and helpful, which made a big difference. However, the breakfast experience was chaotic and not quite what I expected from a place of this caliber. Overall, I enjoyed my time there but felt the hotel could use some updates and better organization.

Rooms
6.0
The room was spacious and clean, but it felt a bit dated. I was hoping for a more modern touch. The bathroom was nice and had a bathtub, which is rare these days, but it lacked some essentials like a cosmetic mirror.
Service
8.0
The staff were incredibly attentive and friendly. They turned down the bed every night, making my stay comfortable. However, one waitress got my breakfast order mixed up because she didn't write it down.
Location
9.0
The hotel's location is fantastic! It's close to everything in the CBD, with beautiful views overlooking the river. I could easily access restaurants, shops, and transport options.
Dining
5.0
The room service was timely, and the food was surprisingly good. However, breakfast was a total mess. There was a huge crowd, and despite making a reservation, I had to wait a long time to be seated and served.
Facilities
7.0
The hotel had great facilities, like room service and housekeeping. Still, some areas felt a bit outdated, such as the hallways, which were dimly lit and less inviting.

5.4/10

My stay at the Intercontinental Adelaide was marked by a fantastic location and decent amenities, yet it did come with some disappointments. The hotel sits right on North Terrace, providing easy access to the city's main attractions. However, the service could have been much friendlier, and the dining experience left a lot to be desired in terms of quality. Overall, it has the potential to be great but needs some improvement.

Rooms
8.0
I found my room to be spacious and well-equipped with a comfortable bed, though the bathroom design was a bit odd. The view over the Adelaide Oval was a highlight.
Service
6.0
While some staff members were friendly, overall, the service felt less attentive than I expected. There were moments of confusion, particularly regarding room changes and dining service.
Location
9.0
The hotel's location on North Terrace is excellent, within walking distance to the CBD and key attractions such as the riverfront and cultural venues.
Dining
5.0
The food I had for dinner was disappointing; it felt underwhelming and poorly plated. Breakfast was a better experience with a good variety, but still not quite at the level I had hoped for.
Facilities
7.0
Although I didn't get to use them extensively due to my short stay, the hotel offers nice facilities like a fitness center. The lobby bar service was also enjoyable.

5.8/10

I had a decent stay at the Intercontinental Adelaide, but it could use a bit of sprucing up. The location is simply unbeatable, right by the river and close to great spots for food and drinks. While the gym was impressive and my room was comfortable, the breakfast left a lot to be desired compared to my previous visits. Overall, it's a solid choice if you're after convenience, but expect some quirks.

Rooms
7.0
My room was spacious and comfortable, but it definitely showed some signs of wear. It could use fresh carpet and a coat of paint.
Service
7.0
The staff were friendly when I interacted with them, but I noticed some lapses, especially in breakfast service where I had to wait too long for assistance.
Location
10.0
The location on North Terrace was fantastic. I loved being so close to the river, restaurants, and the casino.
Dining
5.0
Breakfast was pretty average this time around, lacking the variety and quality I remembered. I missed the cooked menu and the buffet options from my previous stays.
Facilities
8.0
The gym was large and had many machines which I used daily. Unfortunately, the pool was closed during my visit, which was a disappointment.

I had a mixed experience at the Intercontinental Adelaide. While the location is great, and I enjoyed a lovely breakfast, there were notable issues with service and room cleanliness. The overpowering chemical smell in my room really detracted from my stay, despite the staff being very polite.

Rooms
6.0
The room was spacious but had a stale chemical smell that lingered throughout my stay. It would benefit from an update to reduce the chemical clean scents.
Service
6.0
The reception staff were helpful initially, but the communication regarding room readiness was lacking. I didn't feel the level of service matched the hotel's prestige.
Location
10.0
The hotel's location is fabulous, especially for accessing nearby attractions like Rundle Mall and the Festival Theatre.
Dining
8.0
Breakfast was a highlight with a fantastic selection and delicious coffee. I found the Atrium Lounge to be a good relaxing spot, but the dinner menu could be improved.
Facilities
6.0
Facilities like room service and housekeeping were adequate, though I think improvements could be made in housekeeping response times and quality.

I had a wonderful stay at Intercontinental Adelaide, where the location right by the river made exploring the city easy. The room was spacious with fantastic views, perfect for relaxation. However, the service was a bit inconsistent, especially during busy times like breakfast. Overall, it was a nice experience, but some areas could use improvement. 🌟🍾

The hotel’s location is truly perfect for a city break, right along the river and close to the Adelaide Oval, making it easy to explore local attractions.
Dining

I found the breakfast options to be decent, with fresh fruit and tasty dishes. However, I wished for more variety in the hot food selections and quicker service.
Facilities

The amenities like the gym were good, but the pool area felt small and crowded when I visited. I wish there were more lounge chairs available. Additionally, I had some trouble with the room service, as it took longer than expected to get a response.
